Appraiser excellence.
Before we use an appraiser’s services, we need to verify that the appraiser can demonstrate the ability to perform quality appraisals.  Before an appraiser is added to our approved fee panel, he or she must go through a qualification process that includes the following procedures:

We secure and inspect appraiser's license, E&O insurance, resume, references and a minimum of two sample appraisals.
We review work samples for USPAP compliance and quality.
We review education, experience and professional affiliations or designations.
We confirm that the license is valid and current via the ASC website.
If appraiser is FHA certified, we confirm via the HUD website.
We check available "Do Not Use" lists from potential investors.
Once approved, appraiser must agree to our guidelines and supply a W-9.
Appraiser is added to our approved fee panel.
